Ingredients
  • 24 chicken wing drumettes (about 2-1/2 lb/1 kg)
  • 1 cup grated Parmesan
  • 2 tbsp dried parsley
  • 1 tbsp dried leaf oregano
  • 2 tsp paprika
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tsp pepper
  • About 1/3 cup melted butter

Directions
  1. First, preheat the oven to 350°F.
  2. Cut the wings up into "drummettes". (Freeze the pointy "tips" for soup -- they make great broth!)
  3. Then combine the grated cheese and the seasonings. Line a shallow baking pan with foil. (Do not omit this step, or you'll still be scrubbing the pan for days!)
  4. Melt the butter in a shallow bowl or pan.
  5. Dip each "drummette" in butter, roll in the seasoned cheese, and arrange in the foil lined pan. Bake for 30-45 minutes at 350°F.
  6. Then ... kick yourself that you didn't make a double recipe!!

I am a chicken wing junkie! Can't wait to give these a try.

Oh man! That name cracked me up!

I too am a "chicken wing junkie" and I am looking forward to preparing this "wing" recipe.

Sounds fabulous! This will be on the menu for Super Bowl!!

Another wing fan !!!!!!A must.

The name is in very poor taste but I will try them

I love chicken wings ... my favorite part of the bird! Thanks.

I've gotta be honest. I practically drooled at just the picture. I've gotta try these for Superbowl Sunday. Thanks.

Why does it say bake 20 minutes and step 7 says bake 1 hour??

These sound wonderful. will be making a double batch.

Wow! Great pic, drooling just by looking at it

Those look awesome! im drooling!

Hi Lillyann,

I love chicken wings and your recipe sounds delicious but I am a little confused by the instructions. Is it just me or does it look like you are cooking them twice? Perhaps I am reading it wrong. I am just new at this stuff so forgive me if I sound like an idiot.

May I also suggest using boneless/skinless chicken thighs cut into wing size strips for the calorie conscious.

NO, it was me =) I had a shorter version of the directions above the more detailed one--at the same time. I've fixed it!

Great recipe.

Had to look at this just because of the name! And now I'm putting these on the menu for the Superbowl (go Pats!)

I made these and they did not look as nice as yours. Instead of rolling the wings in the cheese mixture, would it be better to sprinkle it on so they don't pick up so much of the mixture and maybe have a more glazed look? I'm going to try them again and maybe use a little less salt too, because of the cheese.

I think beethovens5th is a bit uptight.....I like the name and I like chicken wings, keep up the great recipes!!!

I love chicken wings, this sounds wonderful. I'm going to bookmark it, thanks.

I had to add you as a friend after spying these on your recipe list. Heroin Chicken Wings, classic description. Can't wait to get hooked, so I'm going to try these tonight.

Never made wings, this will be my first attempt!

I'll take a shot of these ;-)
But seriously should I serve these with sour cream, blue cheese, or hot sauce?

When I make wings, I always make one batch of the typical famous Buffalo wings, one batch of my KFC honey BBQ and now I will add a batch of these! Thanks for sharing!

These look delicious. I'm tryin them today.

This was delicious, but I added hot pepper flakes and a touch of tabasco. It came out great! The cheese and other ingredients are awsome for flavor after marinating for about 2 hours before cooking.

Hi this sounds very good so i will give them a try this weekend ThanX's =)...

I am addicted to wings.. its impossible to find good wings here in Italy. I will definitely give this a try, but will kick up the spice on there. Thanks

Love the name. Will give them a try as I am also a addict for chicken wings...the BEST part of the chicken IMO...

Like the name and love how these look, got my vote! Let the addiction begin.

Name caught my eye, recipe caught my stomach! I'll be bookmarking this one! (I LOVE WINGS!)

Love it

Mmmmmmmmmm, YUM!

These sound wonderful and I love the humor in the name! I don't think I've seen a wing recipe this easy either.

These will be on my shortlist to try...;-)~

Hi Lillyann, trying again for answers.

1. Is the pic yours as someone commented when they cooked theirs, they did not look the same. The pic tells how the end product should look and I want it right this weekend.
2. There was 60 minutes in the beginning and 30-45 later in the recipe, which is correct?
3. I guess you were counting the center section so 48 pieces and about 6 pieces each or 8 servings? Or is each piece counted as a serving. I would adjust some of my recipes if you count each piece opposed to how many pieces would serve people eating the wings.

Thanks JJ

Addictive AND easy? uh-oh! :)

My fiance's best friend is forever making wings. Currently he buys a sauce from a local restaurant and uses that and wow is it good. I am printing this out for him to try. I know we will all love them! Thank you for sharing!!!

I WILL BE TRYING THESE!!

I'll just take your advice and double the recipe right away- good post-thanks!

Made these this weekend. I have to agree the picture cannot be of these wings, but they were yummy. I used 1 tsp Half Sharp Paprika and 1 tsp Smoked Paprika and threw in a couple of shakes of Cayenne Pepper to give it a bite. I also added a rack over the foil so they were not swimming in the grease. I am a crispy wing fan, so this helped facilitate that. I also cooked them for at least 45 minutes and probably closer to 60. When they were showing some deeper browning I pulled them out. They were fall off the bone tender and delicious.

The heroin wings were too intense my first experience. but now my body is adjusted and have to eat more and more.

Best wings ive ever made wow ty

These look awesome! I've recently acquired a taste for chicken wings. I've stuck to the traditional recipe with homemade blue cheese dressing and really like them. I'm looking forward to trying these with little different twist on them.

I just wanted to let you know that I made these over the weekend and they were a huge hit! I hope you don't mind that I posted a picture of the finished product. Delish!!! Thanks, I'll be making this often.

Hi Lillyann,
You certainly have got a big reaction to this recipe. I guess I am not alone with my love for wings. Are you using fresh cheese or the kind in the box? I agree with a few here that said they would kick up the heat. I love my wings hot. I also like to use Chicken tenders so I have more meat and less fat. I am going to print this and give it a try, but I will be kicking that heat up to lava. :) Great posting, I give it a 5. You are on a roll girl. Thanks,
Paula

Break out the six pack with this awesome recipe. Thanks for this great post!
