How to make it

  • Defrost the frozen spinach and drain well
  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a large bowl, combine all ingredients and mix thoroughly
  • Form the spinach into ping-pong sized balls and place on a greased baking sheet
  • Bake for 8-10 minutes or until the tops start to brown
  • ***NOTE
  • Depending on how big you form the balls, this will yield around 12-15
  • You can prepare your balls and freeze, just increase the cooking time to 20 minutes at 350
  • I find that using my hands is the easiest way to make sure the ingredients get thoroughly mixed.
  • When forming the balls, keep your hands slightly wet with tap water. This helps keep the mixture from sticking too much
  • You can easily multiply this recipe to make as many servings as desired

This sounds great...I'd have to cook down my own fresh, as I don't ever use frozen, but this is getting saved...so, it's 6 months after submission, but it comin' from a Steeler fan is just that much better! ;) Thank you!

Spinnach, my favorite vegetable. Nuff said. Well, and asparagus too.

This looks simple and delicious. I like the idea of preparing and freezing to have on hand. Something to do while kids are doing homework to keep the freezer stocked. Do you suggest a sauce to dip in?
