Grandys VIP Pancakes
From saltymike 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 pat butter (lightly salted is OK) shopping list
- 1½ cups all purpose flour, sifted shopping list
- 3 Tbsp baking powder shopping list
- ½ tsp salt shopping list
- 1 large egg shopping list
- 1 cup milk shopping list
- 1 Tbsp vegetable oil shopping list
- 1 Tbsp baking cocoa shopping list
- 1 Tbsp sugar shopping list
- chocolate syrup shopping list
- Sprinkles shopping list
How to make it
- Pre-heat griddle to 350. Grease griddle with the butter pat.
- Mix flour, baking powder, salt, egg, milk and vegetable oil to make white batter.
- Use a small spoon or decorating bag and small pipe to write IN REVERSE the first name initial of each VIP eating pancakes. Be sure to write the initial in reverse so that, when flipped it will be “straight-up.”
- Add cocoa and sugar to remaining batter and mix well.
- Allow the initials to cook to near done. When near done, cover with the cocoa batter to make the VIP pancake for each diner. Cook cocoa pancakes from the rest of the batter and make short stacks with the VIP pancakes served to the side of each stack.
- Serve with the stacks topped with chocolate syrup, whipped cream and sprinkles.
