Kicked up Irish Soda Bread

- 3 cups all purpose flour shopping list
- 1/2 tsp baking soda shopping list
- 1/2 cup dark raisins shopping list
- 1 cup buttermilk shopping list
- 1/2 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 3 lg. eggs shopping list
- 1/2 tbsp. veg. oil shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350*.
- Lightly grease 9 inch round cake pans and set aside.
- Combine flour, sugar,soda, salt and raisins in a large bowl.
- In another bowl combine eggs, oil and buttermilk mixing until the eggs are beaten
- Move the dry ingredients to the side of the large bowl making a well.
- Pour liquid ingredients into well
- Fold dry ingredients ove the liquid with your hands until the dough is sticky.
- Scoop it from the bowl and divide between two pans.
- Bake 1 hour
- Test for doneness with sharp knife makeing the shape of a Cross in center of each loaf, if knife comes out clean , bread is done.
