Turkey Thighs With Orange Sauce For Two

- Two turkey thighs, skin removed shopping list
- 1 large shallot, sliced shopping list
- 3/4 cup orange juice shopping list
- 2 Tbs. brown sugar shopping list
- 2 Tbs. water shopping list
- 1 Tbs. balsamic vinegar shopping list
- 1 Tbs. lemon juice shopping list
- 1-1/2 tsp. grated orange rind shopping list
- 1 Tbs. cornstarch shopping list
- 2 Tbs. water shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350F. Place turkey thighs in a two quart baking dish. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste. Put sliced shallots on top of thighs.
- In a medium saucepan, heat orange juice, brown sugar and water over medium heat, stirring until sugar is dissolved.
- Add balsamic vinegar, lemon juice and orange rind. Heat until boiling. Pour sauce around thighs in the dish.
- Cover and bake for approximately 1-1/2 hours or until turkey is tender and juices run clear. Remove turkey to serving dish. Pour the sauce into a saucepan on high heat.
- In a small bowl, mix cornstarch with water. Add to sauce, stirring constantly until sauce thickens and begins to bubble. Serve sauce with thighs.
- I like to serve these with rice.
