Ingredients

How to make it

  • Add flour, tomatoes, celery seed, tomato paste, mustard, worcestershire sauce, and brown sugar to cooking bag
  • Squeeze bag to mix all ingredients
  • Add vegetables and round steak to cooking bag.
  • Secure top of bag with a tie and place in slow cooker
  • Cut several small holes in the top of the bag to allow steam to escape
  • Cover and cook in slow cooker on low for 7-9 hours
  • Serve with mashed potatoes and green beans

    This was great! I left out the flour and didn't miss it a bit. A little salt and pepper. Awesome, and easy dish! Cooked on high for 4 hours, then low for 2.

    Made this last night. I really liked it. I used canned fire roasted tomatoes for more flavor. Today I had it for lunch over rice. I added salt and more Worcestershire, and it's even better. Next time I make it, I'll add more W sauce in the pot as I think it kicks up the flavor.

    I have a chuck steak that needs a long cooking time, and I think I'll try this. Interesting cooking in a bag and in the crock pot. Never done that. I was looking for something different than the oniony pot roast I am making in a few days. Thanks for the inspiration!
