Rotkohl is a delicious side dish for a tradional German meal.
It's also a great side for just about anything.

Rotkohl! I'm trying to get a German/German-American food group doing, if you're interested:

Yummmy! I had this while growing up. The only change that we did was to use bacon in it and bacon fat instead of butter, but other than that, this is it! I've gotta make this soon. I just hope the rest of my family gets as excited as I do.

I was looking for a cabbage dish I had been served years ago...great taste. I have a maternal German background and thought this might be it. I'm sorry to say "nope" I don't think I'd like it, but I know I DON'T like caraway seeds, so that's why. I'm sorry

Cook for 30 minutes? Where's the rendered bacon? The cloves? The bay leaves? Schreckliche!

Those do sound good, but this recipe doesn't have them. There are many recipes for red cabbage and this is but one.
