Ingredients

How to make it

  • Mix hamburger meat with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Put in stock pot and brown it with jalapenos and serrano. Once browned, do not drain. The grease adds alot of spicy flavor to the end product.
  • Add around 4 cups of water to the meat mixture. Boil for about 30 minutes. While this is boiling, you can chop the veggies and shred the cheese.
  • Heat vegetable oil in skillet and cook corn tortillas. Make sure to blot out oil from tortillas after cooking.
  • Make a smooth paste with the flour and some cold water. Whisk in slowly to the meat. This will make a gravy. Let simmer for another minute or two.
  • Place tortillas on plate in a fashion so that each is touching the other, and they all meet in the middle. About 3 tacos per serving is usually adequate. Spoon meat/gravy mixture into center of tortillas. Add cheese and onion. Fold tortillas inward so that you cover the filling. Spoon more of the meat/gravy mixture on top. Add cheese, lettuce, tomatoes, and onion. Enjoy!
