How to make it

  • Soak peeled and sliced cucumbers in a salt water solution in refrigerator for 2 hours.
  • While this is soaking prepare oil and vinegar mixture altering oil to vinegar ratio to taste.
  • To make mixture first dissolve sugar in vinegar then mix in oil.
  • Start with the ratio of approximately 1/2 cup oil to 1/4 cup vinegar.
  • Mix the thinly sliced onion into this liquid coating well then refrigerate.
  • Drain cucumbers and rinse slightly.
  • When fully drained of excess water mix with the onions and liquid mixture.
  • Add pepper then refrigerate for 30 minutes before serving.
