How to make it

  • Heat oil and cackle mustard seeds and urad dal. Add chopped onions and slit green chillies. Fry till golden brown.
  • Now add the chopped garlic, turmeric, jeera, cinnamon powder and fry for 2-3 mins.
  • Next, add the chopped tomatoes and mash nicely while on fire. Adjust salt and let it cook for another 3-4 mins.
  • Turn off fire, add the cooked rice and mix well.

    cinnamon and rice is stunning. We make a dish with fish/cinnamon saffron rice/broth and buttered toasted pecans that is to die for. I know I'd love this dish. great post.
