Ingredients

How to make it

  • Heat the olive oil and butter in a large Dutch oven over medium-low heat.
  • Add sausage too pot and cook until sausage reaches temperature and begins to sizzle.
  • Add parsley, carrots, bell pepper, celery, onion and garlic.
  • Season the pot with salt and black pepper.
  • Sauté until the veggies are tender.
  • Add chicken broth. Increase heat to medium high and bring to a boil.
  • Add beans, reduce heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-30 minutes.
  • Re-season with salt and black pepper as necessary. Serve with cornbread or garlic toast.

    Love them beans and the sausage! Another great soup recipe from you. Will certainly try this even though *our* weather has greatly improved the last few days. As far as I'm concerned any day is a great day for soup. Great post!
