Bourbon Bleu Burgers

Great way to turn a burger into something special with minimal effort. As with most of my recipes, great for a tailgate
Ingredients
- 1 lb lean ground meat shopping list
- 1/4 cu Italian bread crumbs shopping list
- 1 whole egg, beaten shopping list
- 2 oz bourbon (Jim Beam works best for me) shopping list
- 1 pkg crumbled bleu cheese shopping list
How to make it
- combine the meat, egg, bread crumbs, and bourbon in a large mixing bowl
- Use your hands to mix everything together, being careful not to squeeze too much
- Refridgerate mixture for about an hour
- Form the meat into 8 flat patties and set aside
- Form the crumbled bleu cheese into 4 patties
- Put 1 bleu cheese patty between 2 meat patties and shape together into one burger
- Grill directly over coals, about 3-4 minutes each side or until done
- Goes great on a nice thick kaiser roll
