Homemade Cinnamon Praline Pecans

- 2 lbs pecan or walnut halves shopping list
- 2 egg whites shopping list
- 2 tsp water shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- a dash of salt shopping list
- 1/2 tsp cocoa-or more shopping list
- cayenne pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 325
- Beat egg whites and water together.
- Stir in pecans and toss quickly.
- In the meantime, have mixed the sugar, cinnamon, salt and cocoa. Pour over the pecans and toss quickly.
- Pour pecans into a greased baking sheet.
- Bake about 30 minutes, stirring every ten minutes.
- Using a spatula, loosen the pecans from the sheet immediately. Cool.
- Can be stored in an airtight container for up to two weeks.
- You can use any nuts you like, really. I love cashews done this way, too.
