Quick dinner that can made when time is not on your side...and comforting at any time. A family tradition for my husband's family! Serve with dinner rolls or garlic bread.

Ingredients
  • Wide Egg Noodles (I use 1 1/2 packages)
  • Round Steak (sliced into small thin pieces)
  • 1 onion diced
  • Fresh mushrooms (canned mushrooms will work as well)
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 Teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce
  • 3 Tablespoons of Ketchup
  • 2 Big cans of Cream of Mushroom Soup
  • 16 oz Sour Cream

Directions
  1. Boil water for noodles-be sure to salt the water to flavor your noodles.
  2. Cook noodles according to package directions.
  3. Melt butter in saucepan.
  4. Place sliced up round steak, onions, and mushrooms to saute til onions are transparent and meat is browned evenly-let simmer for a few extra minutes.
  5. Drain off excess liquid.
  6. Pour in Cream of Mushroom Soup
  7. Put in your two teaspoons of Worcestershire sauce and Ketchup-let simmer for about 5 minutes.
  8. Put in the sour cream and heat throughly but do not let come to a boil!
  9. Serve with Sauce on top of noodles with bread!

Well- it looks like a girl who didn't cook until a few years ago is doing good by the ratings. Good for you. Good recipe. Tagged. Let you know. Keep it up for your hubbie, or should that be the other way around. Thanks cooking friend.
