Maple Wings Recipe
I saw this recipe on the Food Network years ago and it's been part of my Superbowl Sunday menu ever since.

Ingredients
  • 3-4 pounds chicken wings
  • 1/3 cup teriyaki sauce
  • 1/2 cup lite soy sauce
  • 2 tablespoons garlic powder
  • 1 tablespoon onion powder
  • 2 teaspoons black pepper
  • 1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
  • 1-2 cups maple syrup

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  2. Cut wings at the joints to make 3 pieces. Discard wing tips or save for later use.
  3. Place wings in large disposable baking pan.
  4. Add maple syrup(to taste),soy sauce,teriyaki sauce,garlic powder,onion powder, red pepper,and black pepper.
  5. Toss to coat.
  6. Bake for 1 hour tossing every 15-20 minutes. The liquid will gradually reduce and thicken as it cooks.
  7. After 1 hour,increase temperature to 450 degrees. Toss wings a final time and bake for an additional 30 minutes or until browned.
  8. Serve wings in pan and discard when empty.
