Ingredients

How to make it

  • Put the potatoes in a pot filled with enough water to cover them well.
  • Add salt.
  • Bring the water to a boil over high heat, then reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the potatoes are fork tender, 15 to 20 minutes.
  • Drain the potatoes well and return to the pot.
  • Add salt, pepper and butter while the potatoes are still hot.
  • Mash the potatoes with a potato masher.
  • Add the cream.
  • Mash the mixture until it is smooth and fluffy, 3 to 5 minutes.
  • Beat in the horseradish and adjust seasoning, if needed.
  • Transfer the potatoes to a micro-wave safe bowl so you can reheat before serving, if needed.

Jemison ~ this is the way mashed potatoes were meant to be made ~ with lots of cream, butter and a dash of horseradish. Thanks for sharing ;)

I am one of the fortune ones who really likes horseradish. Sometimes you need a change with potatoes along with some kick...this does it, nice recipe.
