Ingredients

How to make it

  • In a large saucepan over med-high heat, heat oil and cook onions and garlic until tender, -- about 10 minutes
  • Add ketchup, vinegar, honey, soy sauce, and rest of ingredients.
  • Raise to high heat until boiling.
  • Reduce to med-low, simmer uncovered for 20 minutes or until sauce thickens slightly.
  • Refrigerate..
  • Note: I usually make this a day or two in advance to allow all the flavors to mingle. It is equally good on pork or beef ribs. I like more garlic and the red crushed peppers give it a little more snap. Make sure to precook the ribs.
