How to make it

  • Peel potatoes and cut them lengthwise into slices that are 1/4" thick.
  • In a non-stick skillet melt enough margarine to cover bottom of pan.
  • Add potatoes and while turning them occasionally cook over medium heat until tender but firm.
  • In saucepan melt margarine then add sugar and stir until sugar melts.
  • Pour sugar mixture over potatoes.
  • Continue cooking and carefully turning potatoes until they are completely tender and browned.
  • They should be glazed by the sugar mixture.
  • Serve hot and spoon some of the extra syrup over the top.

    Now this is the old fashioned way of fixing Candied Sweet Potatos. Nothing any better!! Will definitely keep on hand. Thanks!!
