Grandmas Pickles Recipe
This recipe came from my husband's grandmother. You can make them as zesty or spicy as you prefer. The marinade lasts a long time and gets better with time. Just keep adding fresh dill pickles.

Ingredients
  • 2 C Sugar
  • 1/2 - 3/4 C Cold Water
  • 3/4 C Vinegar
  • 1 T Dry Mustard
  • 1-2 Cloves of Garlic (depends on your taste, I use 1)
  • 1-3 T Horseradish
  • Jar of Dill Pickles

Directions
  1. Remove pickles from jar and drain juice; leave whole or
  2. Cut pickles into rounds or spears and put them back into jar
  3. Mix all of the ingredients listed above together
  4. Put mixture into jar with pickles
  5. Let stand in refrigerator 1-2 days.
  6. Taste test the flavor for your likes, adjust accordingly with additional garlic or horseradish, or sugar if too zesty.
  7. Keep juice mixture in refrigerator and continue to add more pickles as needed.
  8. This mixture will last a very long time and can be used over and over again.
