this is a very sweet cake but is really good around the holidays or for company or when you have a sweet tooth
Ingredients
- 1 box of yellow cake mix shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- cooking oil (according to box) shopping list
- 1 can pie filling (cherry) shopping list
- 1 small can pineapples (optional) shopping list
- pecans (optional) shopping list
How to make it
- Follow the directions on the box for a yellow cake mix using the eggs and oil accordingly. After mixing the batter, pour the can of cherries into the bottom of a 9x12-inch cake pan. DO NOT GREASE PAN. After the cherries are spread evenly on the bottom of the pan, spread the cake batter over the top of the cherries Bake at 350 until cake is done. You can also add a small can of pineapple on top the cherries and sprinkle pecans over it before adding cake mix. After cake is done sprinkle powdered sugar over the top. Use a spoon to "scoop" it rather than "cut "it with a knife
- this dish is really sweet the more fruit you add the sweeter it gets i also add coconuts. mt mom made this when i was younger i was sure to eat my vegetables.
