Very yummy! I followed the recipe to the letter with the exception of the added fruit and I doubled the batch. I let them cool and cut into bars and placed them into plastic food storage bags. Very moist and delicious. I knew they wouldn't last long so I'm glad I doubled the recipe!! Thanks so much for sharing!

Fantastic! Just made these and they are great. I didn't add any fruit, but I did add about 2 Tbsp of molasses. They aren't dry at all and my kids are loving them! Will definately be making these again, Thanks for the recipe!

I will try this for my son. He is only 13 months old but he really likes the Gerber Graduates Nutrigrain-like bars. And they're just so expensive. He has stopped wanting oatmeal spoonfed to him and he isn't ready to feed himself with a spoon. So I am going to try these. I will probably try by replacing the oil with applesauce though to keep it a bit healthier.

Oh man, I just wish I'd found this recipe when there was more than 1 day left of Feb vacation! We were snowed in for a couple of days, & my oldest would've loved to make these (made brownies, but these are way healthier)!

Hmm, that's weird. I've never had them come out that dry. Maybe because I normally put chopped apples in them - that probably makes them more moist.

They were quite dry. I guess that's the low-fat part. We were able to take the entire thing out of the pan at once..but couldn't cut it with a knife. We had to use both hands to break off chunks. The taste was ok, but my daughter wouldn't touch it, afraid she would break her teeth..lol.

Ksnull - I hope she likes them. My nieces love them, and they're pretty picky!

I was looking specifically for a healthy oatmeal bar recipe as an alternative to buying the Quaker bars - this just might be something my daughter would try.
