Taco Casserole

- 1 lb. ground beef shopping list
- 2 tsp. onion powder shopping list
- 1 C Ortega Thick and Smooth taco sauce (hot or mild, your choice) shopping list
- 3/4 C water shopping list
- 1 can (4oz) Ortega Diced Green Chiles shopping list
- 1 Pkg. (1.25 oz) Ortega taco seasoning Mix shopping list
- 1 Pkg. of 12 Ortega taco shells shopping list
- 8 oz Shredded cheddar cheese shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375 and Grease 11x7 Baking Dish.
- Cook beef and onion powder until meat is done and Drain.
- Stir in taco sauce, water, chiles and seasoning mix.
- Cook over low heat 5 minutes.
- Break Taco Shells into pieces.
- Layer 1/2 of the broken shells in bottom of baking dish
- Cover with 1/2 of the meat mixture
- Sprinkle with 1/2 of the shredded cheese.
- Repeat with remaining ingredients.
- Bake 20-30 minutes or until bubbly and cheese is melted.
- Enjoy as is, or can be top with chopped tomatoes, sliced green onion, or sour cream.
