Ingredients

How to make it

  • Saute' onion in oil and add garlic
  • Stir in flour to make a roux
  • Stir constantly as it browns
  • Add tomato paste, tomatoes, water, bay leaves thyme, celery, parsley, salt, pepper, Accent and crab
  • Bring to boil and simmer for 1 hour
  • Add shrimp and cook 20 minutes more
  • Remove from heat and take out 1 cup of broth
  • To this, add gumbo file' and stir until dissolved
  • Return to gumbo
  • Serve over cooked rice
