"Mom! There's a bake sale tomorrow--I have to bring something in!" Always at 8 or 9 in the evening, right? These are a great emergency classroom snack/bake sale treat, for those times when you find out the night before (or worse, the morning of! Read more !) your kid needs to bring a snack to school. Keep a couple of different cake mixes and chocolate chips on hand, and you're all set. We've done yellow cake and chocolate cake, but how about spice cake with nuts? Strawberry cake mix with chocolate? Chocolate cake with mint chips? Endless possibilities here! See less
Ingredients
- 1 Box cake mix shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1/2 cup oil shopping list
- 1/4 cup water shopping list
- 6 oz chocolate chips shopping list
How to make it
- Mix cake mix, egg, oil and water in a bowl until almost all the lumps are gone.
- Add the chocolate chips.
- Bake in a greased 9 X 13 pan at 350 degrees for 20-25 minutes.
- Cool and cut into squares.
