- dough shopping list
- 6 Cups AP flour shopping list
- 3/4 Cups sugar shopping list
- 1 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 2 Tablespoons baking powder shopping list
- 1 pound butter cold cut into chunks shopping list
- 3 eggs shopping list
- 1 1/2 Cups milk shopping list
- 1 1/2Cups cream shopping list
- filling shopping list
- 1/2 pound butter cold cut into chunks shopping list
- 3 Cups brown sugar shopping list
- 4 Tablespoons ground cinnamon shopping list
- topping shopping list
- 1 Cup confectioners sugar sifted shopping list
- 1/4-1/3 Cup cream or 1/2&1/2 shopping list
How to make it
- mix powders together in bowl, rub or cut in butter
- add sugar, eggs and liquids, mix until it picks up all the flour
- refrigerate dough 10-15 minutes while you amke filling and topping
- filling combine and mix everything
- topping combine and mix until smooth, place in piping bag and chill
- roll out cold dough on lightly floured surface to 1/4 inch thick, square up dough into a rectangle about 20" long by 16" tall
- spread filling over all but 1" of the long side at the bottom
- roll from the top down to form a tight log, use last inch of naked dough to seal log
- square up ends wrap lg in plastic and foil and freeze until needed
- when ready to bake, cut into 1 1/2 inch disks (use your hands to shape themif they are flat on one side) arrange in baking dish so that they just barely touch
- bake @ 350 for 25-30 min (325 for 20-25 min convection)
- let cool in pan then gently separate with a table knife or small spatula and pipe topping in zig-zag pattern over tops
