How to make it

  • In medium bowl, combine peas, cheese, celery, pickles, pimientos, mayonnaise, and salt and pepper to taste. Toss lightly to coat evenly. Cover and chill for at least 2 hours.

    A great recipe. When I make mine, I use frozen peas that I have just barely cooked, dill pickle, sliced radishes, celery and add a dash of curry powder to the mayonnaise. Just another twist on a great recipe! Thanks for reminding me of this!

    This is similar to a family recipe of my mom's. We use dill pickles and their juice and generally dice up some ham and sometimes hard boiled eggs as well. Haven't had this is a while, makes me think of holidays.

    Ha, can't believe anybody but me makes this. I learned it from my x mil. Also put hard-boiled eggs & bacon in mine. Thanks Dix-haven't made this in ages.
