Rustic Pork Chop Jambalaya Recipe

Ingredients

6 pork chops

Garlic powder

Salt and pepper to taste

1 green bell pepper, sliced in thin strips

1 red bell pepper, sliced in thin strips

1 medium onion cut into rings

1 package yellow rice, *cooked*

1 can tomato sauce

1 tablespoon minced garlic

4 tablespoons olive oil

8-10 dashes Louisiana hot sauce

1/2 cup water

Directions

My 12 inch iron skillet is perfect for this dish

In a large iron skillet, saute' the green and red bell peppers, onion,

and minced garlic in the olive oil on low heat until tender

Remove from burner

Prepare the yellow rice according to directions

Sprinkle both sides of the pork chops with garlic powder, salt and pepper

Then place them on top of the peppers, onion, and garlic

Next cover the pork chops with the yellow rice

Next pour tomato sauce over the rice

Then add Louisianna hot sauce (shake and dash it over all)

Last, add the 1/2 cup water

Place the iron skillet, uncovered, in a 350 degree oven for 1 hour
