Ingredients

How to make it

  • Boil water in medium pot
  • Add 2 tbsp. EVOO to medium sauce pan, and heat pan to medium high heat.
  • while the pan heats up, dice the onion
  • remove the tomatos from the cans and give a course chop.
  • add onions to pan and saute about 5 minutes
  • add chopped tomatos and juice from can
  • add rosemary, thyme, salt and pepper to pan
  • heat sauce until everything else is done (about 20 min.) stirring often
  • Remove flavor packs from noodles and discard
  • break noodle blocks into 1/4's and add to boiling water. heat according to instructions on package.
  • about 5 minutes before sauce is done (getting pretty thick), add garlic, basil, and brown sugar.
  • remove sauce from heat, and let stand while you strain the noodles (don't rinse)
  • pour noodles into pan with sauce and mix together.
  • serve and enjoy!
  • I like to top it with plenty of parm cheese, and chop up some fresh spinach, then add it in when you add the garlic. Awesome, and you get your veggies...
  • Tip...if the sauce gets thick, too quickly, feel free to pour a little beer on the mix...you're sure to have a few laying around...
