How to make it

  • In a medium saucepan, cook Brussels sprouts in 2/3 cup boiling water until crisp-tender, about 8 minutes. Drain and return to pot.
  • In a medium bowl, combine oil, broth, syrup, vinegar, and mustard until well combined.
  • Drizzle over the sprouts in the pan, toss thoroughly to combine and serve.

The last time I placed brussel sprouts on my table my oldest son was about 17 (now 21). He got so mad that he stormed up to his room and wouldn't come down to eat because of the smell. Now my hubby and I are the only ones to make and eat them. This is a great post. Can't wait to try them. MJ

I LOATHE brussels sprouts ... or I did until I tried them dredged in olive oil and baked with bacon pieces. Yum. I had thirds. This looks grest too - with the maple syrup, maybe the kids will even try them.
