Skillet Macaroni And Cheese Recipe

This recipe is quick and easy! And DELICIOUS!!

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 cups uncooked elbow macaroni
- 1/4 cup minced onion
- 2 tbsp. minced green peppers
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1/4 tsp. dry mustard
- 2 cups shredded cheddar cheese
- 2 cups water
Directions
- Melt butter in medium skillet
- Add uncooked macaroni, onion, green peppers, salt and dry mustard
- Stir in water and bring to boiling
- Reduce heat to low and simmer covered 10-15 minutes, until macaroni is tender
- Stir occasionally
- Remove from heat and stir in shredded cheese

I've used a jarred alfredo sauce as a base to my quick versions of mac and cheese and then go wild with whatever cheese strikes my fancy at the time.

How interesting! I've never seen pasta cooked that way before. Usually I cook it, drain and add the sauce after. Pretty cool, if this works as you say it does it will revolutionize the way I can make a number of recipes.
