Carrots And Brussel Sprouts Recipe

Ingredients
  • 2Tbs.chopped shallot(from 1 med)
  • 3Tbs. unsalted butter ,divided
  • 1lb.carrots,cut diagonally into 1/2" thick pieces
  • 1lb. brussel sprouts,halved lengthwise
  • 1/3c. water
  • 1Tbs.cider vinegar

Directions
  1. Cook shallot in 2 Tbs. butter in a 12" heavy skillet over med-high heat,stir occasionally until softened 1-2 mins. Add carrots,brussel sprouts,3/4tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper and cook,stir occasionally until vegetables begin to brown,3-4 mins.
  2. Add water and cover skillet,then cook over med-high heat until vegetables are tender,5-8 mins. Stir in vinegar,remaining tbsp. of butter and salt and pepper to taste.

You are quite the Foodie's Cook! This sounds very delish! Do frozen brussel sprouts work? My husband has said he likes "brussel sprts, and I have NEVER fixed. This recipe may just change that. thanks!!
