Carrots and Brussel Sprouts

- 2Tbs.chopped shallot(from 1 med) shopping list
- 3Tbs. unsalted butter ,divided shopping list
- 1lb.carrots,cut diagonally into 1/2" thick pieces shopping list
- 1lb. brussel sprouts,halved lengthwise shopping list
- 1/3c. water shopping list
- 1Tbs.cider vinegar shopping list
How to make it
- Cook shallot in 2 Tbs. butter in a 12" heavy skillet over med-high heat,stir occasionally until softened 1-2 mins. Add carrots,brussel sprouts,3/4tsp salt and 1/2 tsp pepper and cook,stir occasionally until vegetables begin to brown,3-4 mins.
- Add water and cover skillet,then cook over med-high heat until vegetables are tender,5-8 mins. Stir in vinegar,remaining tbsp. of butter and salt and pepper to taste.
