Curry Powder

- 3 tablespoons coriander seeds shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cumin seeds shopping list
- 2 tablespoons cumin seeds shopping list
- 2 tablespoons turmeric shopping list
- 1 tablespoon mustard seeds shopping list
- 2-1/2 teaspoons fennel seeds shopping list
- 8 pods cardamom seeds shopping list
- 8 cloves shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoon ground ginger shopping list
- 1-1/2 teaspoon black peppercorns shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon freshly grated nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 teaspoon cayenne shopping list
How to make it
- In a bowl combine all ingredients.
- Spread out on a jelly roll pan and toast in preheated 250 oven for 20 minutes.
- Let cool to room temperature.
- Pulverize spice mixture in batches with coffee grinder and strain through a sieve into a bowl.
- The curry powder will keep six months in a tightly sealed jar in a cool dark place.
- Use to season soups and stews.
