Banana Cocoa Marble Bars

- 1/2 cup oats shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups flour shopping list
- 2 tsp baking powder shopping list
- 1/2 tsp soda shopping list
- 1/2 tsp salt shopping list
- 1 cup sugar shopping list
- 1/2 cup applesauce shopping list
- 1 egg shopping list
- 1 egg white shopping list
- 2 tbsp oil shopping list
- 1/3 cup low fat buttermilk shopping list
- 2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder shopping list
- 1 large ripe banana, mashed shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees
- spray 9 inch baking pan with cooking spray
- Place oats in food processor or blender; process until finely ground.
- In medium bowl, combine oats, flour, powder, soda and salt.
- In large bowl, combine sugar, applesauce, both eggs and oil.
- add flour mixture to applesauce mixture; stir until well blended (mixture will be dry)
- remove 1 cup of batter to a small bowl. Add buttermilk and cocoa; mix well.
- Add banana to remaining batter. Mix well; spread into prepared pan.
- drop tbsp of cocoa batter over banana batter. Run knife through batters to marble.
- Bakke 35 or unil toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Cool on wire rack 15 minutes, cut into 14 bars.
