collard greens

- 1 bunch of greens, cleaned well and torn in to pieces (tear do not chop), about 2 pounds shopping list
- 1 smoked turkey leg shopping list
- 3 tbls white vinegar (more to taste if greens are still bitter) shopping list
- salt and pepper to taste shopping list
- 2 tbls hot sauce or to taste shopping list
- water to cover shopping list
How to make it
- soak greens and thoroughly clean remove stems and tear in to bite size pieces
- add smoked turkey leg, greens, hot sauce, and vinegar to crock pot
- cover with water
- turn pot on high and let cook for 6-8 hours.
- pull meat off the bone when finished cooking
- taste throughout to check for seasoning.
- i like my greens with some heat so i'll pump up the hot sauce
- if greens still taste bitter, add a little more vinegar.
