Ingredients

How to make it

  • Wash oysters to remove all silt and open oysters on the half shell be sure to detach oyster from the shell
  • Place oyster on a broiler pan
  • Put a dash of beer in each oyster
  • Put 2 - 3 dashes of Texas Pete on each oyster
  • Place one jalapeno slice on each oyster
  • Top each oyster with grated cheese
  • Sprinkle each oyster with bacon bits
  • Broil at 400 degrees for about 3 - 5 mins. until cheese has melted
  • Allow to rest for 2 - 3 mins and enjoy
  • (A cold beer is usually a good side for this dish)

    Wow, Mark - this sounds like it has my name written all over it. I can't wait to try this out. I bet these babies are darn addictive... Love the side of beer on the menu....yep, that's definitely required! I'm saving this and I'll let you know what I think. Great post!...Vickie

    .... ketchup, good fresh horseradish, splash of T pete, red peppers.... we're thinking alike tonite...dam... wonder if the oyster bar is still open?? dave
