Tzatziki

- 2 cups Mediterranean-style yogurt (May substitute conventional yogurt) shopping list
- 1 large english cucumber, peeled, shredded and drained shopping list
- 3 cloves garlic, chopped fine shopping list
- 1 tbsp. mint, chopped shopping list
- 1 tbsp dill, chopped shopping list
- 1 ounce lemon juice shopping list
- Salt and pepper to taste shopping list
How to make it
- Prepare the yogurt by placing it in a strainer lined with cheesecloth that has been set over a bowl. The bowl should be large enough so that the strainer does not touch the bottom. Cover loosely and store in refrigerator overnight. Discard any juices that collect in the bowl.
- Mix all ingredients well, cover and store in refrigerator overnight before serving.
- Serve with pita, pita chips, as a relish, on burgers, or use as a vegetable dip.
