Ingredients

How to make it

  • In dutch oven cook bacon till crisp, drain & crumble to use later
  • cook onion in drippings till tender
  • stir in flour & cook for 1 minute stirring constantly
  • gradually add chicken broth, stirring constantly till thick & bubbly
  • stir in diced potatos, parsely, & half & half
  • cook for about 10 minutes
  • stir in sour cream
  • garnish with cheese and crumbled bacon

    I made this soup for dinner and it was the most delicious potato soup I have ever eaten, really!
    Even my husband was impressed. I didn't have any half and half on hand, and was too lazy to go to the store, so I used evaporated milk instead. It was very good that way too. Thanks so much for this recipe. I submitted a picture too.
