How to make it

  • Cook time is 1 hour...Dry time is 8 hours
  • Bring fruit and water to boil
  • Lower heat and simmer, covered 30 minutes
  • Drain and cool fruit
  • Preheat oven to 300
  • Add fruit, vanilla, and allspice to food processor until smooth
  • Line 151/2 x 101/2 baking sheet with foil
  • Spread fruit mixture evenly over foil
  • Bake for 25 minutes
  • Shut off oven and DO NOT open door
  • Let remain in oven for 8 hours to dry
  • Peel the fruit from foil and sprinkle with sugar if desired
  • Roll up and slice into desired size

    Totally cool recipe, I love it. My boys ( 5yrs and 3yrs) will love it too. I also like I can make this at night and allow it to dry over night. Great post, thank you for sharing.
