Ingredients
  • 2/3 cup oats -- steel cut
  • 1/3 cup pearl barley
  • 1/2 cup raisins, seedless -- organic if you can get some
  • 1/3 cup dried fruit -- dates, or others
  • 1/8 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 3 cups water
  • 1 cup soy milk -- or oat milk, rice milk, your choice
  • dash maple syrup -- to taste

Directions
  1. Bring all ingredients except syrup to a boil in a saucepan.
  2. Reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes, then cover.
  3. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes.
  4. Serve and top with syrup, if desired.

I LOVE OATS AND CREAM OF WHEAT BUT HAVE NEVER HAD PEARL BARLEY. I WILL HAVE TO GET SOME AND GIVE THIS A TRY.
