From patticasas 16 years agoIngredients
- 1 LB of Tilapia fish or sea bass or red snapper. (cut is small cubes/squares) I like with Tilapia best. shopping list
- 1/2 of white onion (finely chopped) shopping list
- 4 tomatoes (finely chopped) shopping list
- 1 1/2 Cup of cilantro (finely chopped) shopping list
- lime (small green limones or the seedless lime) shopping list
- salt (to taste) shopping list
- avocado (thinly sliced) shopping list
- Tostadas shopping list
- soy sauce shopping list
- Serrano Chiles (Thin round slices) shopping list
- mayonnaise shopping list
- ketchup shopping list
How to make it
- Preparing the fish:
- You will need a glass or plastic bowl do not use metal.
- Cut the fish in small squares the smaller the better.
- Chop the onion as small as possible
- Mix together the fish & onion and know you will start to squeeze the lime juice make sure to remove the seeds.
- You will add lemon until it slightly covers the fish but make sure not to over due it where it will look like the fish is swimming in the lime juice. Remember that the fish & onion will release water and if you add to much lime it will kill the flavor of the fish and the taste will be to bitter (SO WATCH OUT).
- You will refrigerate for 45 minutes. This will allow the fish and onion to marinate and cook with the lime juice.
- While the fish is marinating/cooking you can chop the tomatoes and cilantro make sure to wash it very good .
- After the fish is ready take out from fridge and add the tomatoes, cilantro and salt to taste.
- Preparing the special sauce to add to the tostadas:
- In a small Chrystal or plastic bowl add 3 lime juice w/out seeds and the Serrano Chile allow them to marinate for 5 minutes this will reduce the hotty from the serrano then add the soy sauce and ready.
- Serving:
- Spread a little mayo and ketchup on your tostada add the Ceviche and avocado on top and the special soy sauce sauce and ready.
- ENJOY=)...
