Lazy Banana Split Cake Recipe

How to make it

• Pepare the cake according to package directions and cool completely
• Place half of the whipped Cream for topping into each of two bowls
• Fold berries into one
• Fold pineapple into the other
• Place fudge topping in a small saucepan (over hot water is best), stir until just warm
• Assembly
• Using a serrated knife or thin string, split each layer in half horizontally
• Place first split layer on cake plate and top with strawberry cream mixture to edge of layer
• Place next split layer on top and spread with half of the warm fudge, allowing to drip down sides a bit
• Sprinkle with half the nuts
• Add next split layer and top with pineapple Cream mixture spreading to edge of layer
• Add last split layer and top with second half of fudge topping, again letting it drip down sides
• Sprinkle with last half of nuts
• Garnish with sliced banana just before serving
• Serve immediately or place a few toothpicks in top, cover with plastic wrap and refrigerate until serving.
