How to make it

  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees
  • In a large mixing bowl combine cake mix, sour cream, eggs, oil, water, and almond extract
  • Beat for 3 minutes at medium speed
  • Generously grease a 10 inch tube pan
  • sprinkle coconut and almonds in pan
  • Then top with 1/3 jar of preserves
  • Pour in half of cake batter
  • Dot with remaining preserves and cover with remaining cake batter
  • Bake 50 to 60 minutes
  • Cool 30 minutes then invert on serving dish

    Nice cake, I loved the apricot jam, it was very moist and delicious. It was surprisingly easy to do too. Always a plus, thank you dear.
