Homemade Sausage Patties

- 1 onion, chopped finely shopping list
- 2 tbls plus 1 tsp. veg. oil shopping list
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs shopping list
- 2 tbls. milk shopping list
- 2 lb. ground pork (not the lean stuff) shopping list
- 2 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 tsp. white pepper shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. freshly grated nutmeg shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. cinnamon shopping list
- 1/4 tsp. cayenne pepper shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. ground cloves shopping list
- 1 tsp. thyme., finely chopped shopping list
- 1 tsp. sage, finely chopped shopping list
- 2 large egg yollks shopping list
How to make it
- Saute onions in 2 tbls oil until tender
- Cool
- Stir together bread crumbs and milk and let stand until crumbs have absorbed all the milk
- Add all ingredients to large mixing bowl and stir with fork until well blended
- Form mixture into 3 inch round patties about 1/2 inch thick
- Add 1 tsp. oil to skillet and heat to hot but not smoking
- Cook patties on both sides, turning once for about 4-6 minutes
- Drain on paper towels
