How to make it

  • Saute onions in 2 tbls oil until tender
  • Cool
  • Stir together bread crumbs and milk and let stand until crumbs have absorbed all the milk
  • Add all ingredients to large mixing bowl and stir with fork until well blended
  • Form mixture into 3 inch round patties about 1/2 inch thick
  • Add 1 tsp. oil to skillet and heat to hot but not smoking
  • Cook patties on both sides, turning once for about 4-6 minutes
  • Drain on paper towels

    My grandpa owned a hog farm. We used to get plenty of homemade sausage,cured ham and bacon. I just bookmarked your recipe. Thanks for sharing. :)

    This I've gotta try. Sausage is really, Really, REALLY good stuff. My grandfather made sausage and cured hams, but he neve left any recipes. I've been searching for a good sausage recipe for years. Thanks.
