How to make it

  • Cut ham slice into 1” wide strips about 3” long.
  • In a large saucepan combine sprouts, water and salt then simmer covered for 15 minutes.
  • Fry bacon in a heavy skillet until crispy then remove all but 3 tablespoons of the grease.
  • Add onion and sauté until onion softens about 5 minutes.
  • Drain sprouts and add with ham to the skillet.
  • Cover and steam over a low heat 7 minutes.
