Sauerkraut Casserole

- 1 bag of sauerkraut shopping list
- 2 lbs of hamburger shopping list
- 1 large onion, chopped shopping list
- 1 C. mushrooms, sliced shopping list
- garlic pepper, to taste shopping list
- 8 med potatoes shopping list
- 1 stick butter shopping list
- 1/2 C. milk shopping list
- 1 C. sour cream shopping list
How to make it
- Cook potatoes in pot of water, drain and return to heat. Add 1 stick butter. When butter is melted stir potatoes to coat with butter.
- Add milk, when milk begins to boil remove from heat and mash. Add sour cream and whip till smooth. Set aside.
- Brown hamburger, onion and mushroom. Drain. Add seasoning to taste. Put meat in 9x13” baking pan.
- Drain most of juice off sauerkraut then spread evenly over meat mixture.
- Spread mashed potatoes evenly over top of sauerkraut.
- Melt butter and drizzle over potatoes
- Put in preheated 350°F oven and bake 45 min.
