My mom has always made this for Christmas morning, and I now make it for our family. It bakes while we open gifts. This does need to sit over night in the fridge.

Ingredients
  • 6 eggs slightly beaten (plus an extra 2 maybe, eyeball it)
  • 6 bread slices, torn into pieces
  • 1lb sausage browned & drained
  • 2 Cups shredded cheddar cheese
  • 1/2 green pepper, diced
  • 1/2 orange pepper, diced
  • 1/2 small sweet onion, diced
  • 1 tsp. dry mustard
  • 2 Cups milk
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1/2 tsp. pepper

Directions
  1. Mix all ingredients together and pour into a 9x13 inch baking dish.
  2. Refrigerate over night.
  3. Bake at 350 degrees for about 1 hour or until the eggs aren't runny and are set.
  4. Might want to cover the last 1/2 hour with foil, to keep it from getting too brown.
