Chocolate Caramel Graham Crackers

- 12 graham crackers(4 3/4 in x 2 1/2 in) shopping list
- 1 1/2 sticks unsalted butter, cut into pieces shopping list
- 1/2 cup packed light brown sugar shopping list
- 1/8 tsp. salt shopping list
- 1 1/2 cups semisweet chocolate chips shopping list
- 1 cup walnuts, pecans or almonds, chopped shopping list
How to make it
- Preheat oven to 375
- Line 15x10 baking sheet with foil
- Melt butter in a saucepan, low heat
- Add brown sugar and salt and cook, whisking until combined well, about a minute
- Pour over crackers, spreading evenly
- Bake until until golden brown and bubbly, about 10 minutes
- Scatter chocolate chips evenly over crackers and and bake about 1 minute
- Spread chocolate evenly over crackers with offset spatula
- Sprinkle your choice of nuts over chocolate and cool
- Once cool, freeze until chocolate is firm, about 1/2 hour
- Peel from foil and break crackers into serving pieces
- Cook time does not include cooling time
