Old Fashioned Deep Dish Apple Pie

- pastry dough (Your Favorite Recipe) for a Double Crust 9 Inch Pie. shopping list
- 10 to 12 Medium Size tart cooking apples shopping list
- 1/2 Cup brown sugar shopping list
- 1/2 Cup Granulated sugar shopping list
- 1 Cup Sifted flour shopping list
- 2 teaspoons cinnamon shopping list
- 1/2 teaspoon salt shopping list
- 1/2 Cup butter shopping list
How to make it
- For 10 to 12 Servings Prepare your Favorite Recipe for a Double Crust 9 Inch Pie. Line the Bottom & Sides of a 13x9x2 pan with the
- Pastry.
- Peel & Core 10 to 12 Medium size Tart Cooking Apples.
- Cut into 1/4 Inch Slices and Spread Evenly over Pastry.
- Combine 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar, & Granulated Sugar, 1 Cup
- Sifted Flour, 2 teaspoons of Cinnamon, & 1/2 teaspoon of Salt
- Work in 1/2 Cup Butter until Mixture is Crumbly.
- Sprinkle Mixture over Apples. Bake 25 Minutes @ 425 degrees,
- Reduce Heat to 350 degrees; Bake 20 Minutes Longer, or until
- Apples are Tender. Serve with Ice Cream
