Ingredients
  • 1 - Deep Dish unbaked pie shell
  • 5 - Granny Smith Apples
  • 1/2 Cup Granulated Sugar
  • 3/4 Teaspoon Cinnamon
  • 1/8 Teaspoon Salt
  • 3/4 Cup firmly packed Brown Sugar
  • 3/4 Cup Flour
  • 1/3 Cup Butter (salted or unsalted - your choice)

Directions
  1. Preheat oven to 400'
  2. Peel and thinly slice apples
  3. Mix granulated sugar, cinnamon and salt in large bowl.
  4. Add apple slices and mix throughly. Set aside.
  5. In separate bowl mix brown sugar, flour and butter until crumbly.
  6. Pour sliced apple mixture into unbaked (see comment below) pie shell.
  7. Take brown sugar mixture and drizzle evenly over apples.
  8. Bake in 400' oven on bottom shelf for 35 - 40 minutes or until crust is golden brown.
  9. Tips:
  10. I bake my pie shell 5 minutes before adding ingredients. Prick bottom with fork before baking.
  11. Add more or less cinnamon depending on your taste.
  12. Enjoy!
