- Apple catsup shopping list
- 12 tart apples, pared, cored and quartered. shopping list
- 1 c sugar shopping list
- 1 tsp white pepper shopping list
- 1 tsp ground cloves shopping list
- 1 tsp dry mustard shopping list
- 2 white onions, minced shopping list
- 2 c pickling vinegar shopping list
- 2 tsp cinnamon shopping list
- 1 tbsp salt shopping list
- 1/2 c prepared horseradish shopping list
How to make it
- Place the apples in a large pot, covered with water.
- Cook slowly until the apples are soft and the water has almost completely evaporated.
- Put the apples through a sieve or vegetable mill.
- You should have about 1 quart of pulp.
- Add the remaining ingredients and heat until boiling.
- Reduce heat and simmer for an hour.
- Keep refrigerated.
- Excellent with roast pork, ham, goose or duck.
